The Journey Behind Simply Windows & Doors
Our History
Simply Windows & Doors traces its roots back to 2002, when it was originally founded as Window City, Inc. by Ken, TK, and Sharon. The journey began when Ken and TK, owners of an apartment building, needed to replace 55 windows. After receiving quotes from top window companies that exceeded $50,000, TK stumbled upon an ad in the yellow pages offering most sizes for $99. This led them to CJ Jones, an 82-year-old window expert who became a mentor to Ken, TK, and Sharon. With over 50 years of experience, CJ helped them establish Window City, Inc. Although he passed away a year later, his teachings on running a successful window business continued to guide them.
Window City, Inc. maintained an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and honored every contract. In June 2012, the business was sold and renamed Window City Plus. During this transition, Sharon, beloved by customers, stayed on as Office Manager. In June 2018, Sharon retired, but just a year later, the business was in jeopardy. The new owner planned to shut it down after a tornado hit the community. Many loyal customers, including contractors, realtors, and homeowners who had grown close to Sharon, reached out to her. They wanted answers. The decision was made to reopen under a new name: Simply Windows & Doors. The team came back and officially reopened the business in July 2019.
In May 2020, Sharon passed away, but not before seeing the business return to her family’s hands. We know she’s smiling down on Simply Windows & Doors today.
